Do I handle special needs pets?
Yes! I'll do what you need done, IF your pet will allow me to do it. I have clients I
give insulin shots to, give pills (hidden in treats and manually). The only catch I've
found so far is that sometimes, with cats, we have to have a couple of "practice" visits
to get the kitty used to me. I have a cat client that requires IV fluids. I take the cat to
their vet for the procedure. Bottom line is that I'll work with you to make sure your
furkids get what they need, AND, if (like the IV) I'm not comfortable with the
procedure, I'll let you know. I'd never put your pet at risk attempting to do something
I'm not comfortable with.

Is there more to collar selection than color and style?
The Red Cross suggests that while in the house, our pets do not need collars. In fact
they suggest it can be dangerous for them. Should our furkid catch their collar on
something in our homes when we are away, they can easily hurt themselves in the panic
of the situation. Not all our situations are the same and having identification on our
pets at all times can be essential. However, imagine the damage a dog could do to
themselves if they got a choker or pronged collar caught on something and we weren't
there to help them.

If you've taken your furkid to any training, most likely the instructions included a list
of prohibited collars. Namely choker and pronged. They also very likely recommended
Martingale collars, or collars with a Martingale-style loop. If you are not familiar
with these you can see them in the following links. Martingale collars are now made
with the quick-release plastic fastener. So far I've not been able to find them in less
than 10 inches, which is what we need for our kids.

Here is an example of a collar with the Martingale loop:

As you can see from this site - there are a number of styles.

Here is an Gentle Leader Easy Walk Harness (with the Martingale loop). Large dogs
who INSIST on pulling don't pull nearly as much with this:

Do you so sleep-overs or boarding?
All my services are performed in your home. No sleep-overs or bringing pets to my
home.

Do you offer multiple pet discounts?
No, but then again, we don't charge extra for every single pets either. Our philosophy
is that you're paying for our time. There is a limit to the number of pets we can
properly serve in 1/2 hour. See Sitting Rates.

How many times a day do you visit?
As many as you wish. If you're working and want a mid-day visit that's fine. If you're
on vacation you'll likely want 3 per day. We are flexible. We will work with you to be
sure your pets get what they need.

If I'm caught at work, can I call you at the last minute?
Sure, we will make every effort to accommodate you; however, if we're heavily
booked this may not be possible.

What makes Puppy Sighs different from the other services?
I come from a long career of consulting with clients on customer service. I like to
think I "walk the talk". I will bend over backwards to help a client.

One specific difference is in my pricing. I don't charge by the pet. You're paying for
my services. Why should I charge more because there are 3 pets rather than one? A
visit, is a visit, is a visit.

You can add additional time for any visit in 1/4 hour increments.

Another distinguishing practice is that we allowing credits for early returns from a
business trip or vacation. See Payments/Credits.
